A Global Movement for Peace
The World Peace Garden is part of a growing global movement, spaces of prayer, reflection, and peace that have emerged across continents, from Hiroshima Peace Park in Japan to the International Peace Garden between the U.S. and Canada, and countless interfaith gardens in South Africa, Nigeria, the U.K., and the Middle East.
In every culture, gardens are sacred.
They are places of beauty, rest, and renewal, symbols of harmony between the human and the divine.
We plant our World Peace Garden in this living tradition. Each year, we create a temporary sanctuary during the BaliSpirit Festival, offering refuge, reverence, and reconnection in the heart of one of the world’s most vibrant spiritual gatherings.

A garden holds more than plants, it holds presence.
Across cultures and faiths, gardens are places of meeting:
The Garden of Eden, where humanity first walked with the Divine
Zen gardens, designed for meditation and clarity
Sacred groves in African cosmologies, where ancestors and spirits dwell
Sufi rose gardens, symbolizing the soul’s unfolding
Biblical gardens where the prophets prayed, walked, wept
Gardens slow us down.
They invite listening.
They remind us that peace is not imposed, it is cultivated.

Why It Matters
We live in a world flooded by war, division, and despair. But research has shown that large-scale collective meditation and shared prayer can reduce violence, lower stress in communities, and foster greater social cohesion.
Inner stillness shifts global energy
Co-regulation creates peace fields that ripple outward
Holding space for war zones and victims is is sacred activism
The World Peace Garden is our contribution to this global field, a living prayer for peace that transcends borders, dogmas, and noise.
Why the BaliSpirit Festival
The BaliSpirit Festival is one of the most influential international gatherings for spiritual growth, healing, and global community, drawing over 3,000 people annually from more than 60 countries.
It brings together a highly engaged, spiritually oriented audience who are not just exploring personal wellness, but actively seeking ways to contribute to collective transformation. It invites participants not only to open their hearts, but to look inward. To examine how their personal wounds intersect with the world’s injustices. To ask, How am I complicit? What am I ready to heal?
Positioned within this environment, the World Peace Garden offers something unique:
a space for festival-goers to reflect deeply on global suffering, their role in systemic change, and how inner peace connects to outer action.
In a festival that models a united world in all its sacred diversity, the Garden becomes a living imprint of what peace can feel like. Visitors leave not just refreshed, but realigned, carrying the memory of unity, of possibility, of reverence for difference.
When they return to their homes, often in more fragmented societies, they carry this experience like a seed.
They become advocates, champions, and quiet revolutionaries of peace.
That is why we are here.
The World Peace Garden is a global seedbed, planted once, but rippling far beyond the island.
