Weekly 2-hour series or Monthly 2-hour immersions
Contemplative Arts for Spiritual Deepening
A four-part immersive series for spiritual seekers, yoga practitioners, and teachers aiming to integrate sacred texts, poetic practice, prayer, and beads into daily practice.
Many dedicated yoga practitioners and spiritual seekers are deeply engaged with asana, breathwork, mantra, and meditation, yet discover that the classical texts and contemplative methods behind these practices often remain distant or difficult to access. This series of four sacred wisdom immersions invites students, teachers, and explorers in general to engage scripture literacy, poetic prayer heritage, beads traditions, and the art of praying as techniques that nourish the inner life and deepen embodied practice.
Each immersion blends theory and practice so participants can immediately apply what they learn in daily yoga, meditation, teaching presence, and everyday relationships with the Divine. The approach is interspiritual, inclusive, trauma-aware, and respectful of sacred diversity, offering a pathway to spiritual maturity beyond religious affiliation.

Sacred Wisdom immersion 1: Lectio divina
Open the Heart of Yoga’s Classical Texts and Let Them Guide Your Living Practice
What this immersion is about
Ancient contemplative reading techniques that help participants engage foundational yogic and spiritual writings with clarity and confidence.
description
Many practitioners encounter yoga scriptures during teachers training or personal study, yet few receive guidance on how to read them as living companions. Lectio divina is an ancient contemplative reading practice that teaches students to approach sacred texts with attentive listening, reflection, and personal response. The method helps scripture become a mirror for inner inquiry and a source of intention for yoga and daily life.
This immersion introduces how the lectio divina approach can open familiar sutras, gitas, and longstanding wisdom with greater clarity and heartfelt insight. A classical yogic text will be used as an environment of practice so participants can experience how this technique translates philosophy into lived intention.
After the immersion, students will have practical tools to continue engaging sacred writings at home and to deepen their practice between trainings and gatherings.
Sacred Wisdom immersion 2: the Psalms
Poetic Prayer for Modern Yogis, Shaping Devotional Writing as Technique
what this immersion is about
Prayer poems as techniques for sanctifying emotions and transforming journaling into structured devotion.
description
Every spiritual tradition has known poetic ways of sanctifying and expressing inner life in prayer poems. The psalms are part of a very old Jewish and Christian heritage that offers accessible architecture for shaping gratitude, lament, petition, and devotion in rhythmic and imaginal language. This immersion teaches participants how to write in clear poetic forms so that everyday journaling can unfold into living prayer poetry that complements yoga, meditation, and teaching presence.
The workshop encourages students to encounter poetic prayer as an embodied contemplative skill that supports mental steadiness and clarity of intention.
After the immersion, participants leave with confidence to begin guiding their own practice at home, crafting prayer poems that nourish their inner life between trainings and gatherings.
Sacred Wisdom immersion 3: Bead prayer
Ancient Beads Traditions, Centering the Heart through Repetitive Prayer
what this immersion is about
Discovering prayer beads as timeless spiritual tools for attention and compassion, and learning to create a personal beads prayer companion.
description
Praying and meditating with beads has accompanied yogis, mystics, and countless seekers across centuries as an embodied technique of centering the heart and steadying attention. In Hindu and Buddhist cultures these beads are known as malas, and similar traditions are found in Islamic tasbih, Jewish, Christian, Sikh, and indigenous paths. This immersion explores the heritage and meaning of praying with beads and teaches participants how to craft a personal beads practice that complements yoga, mantra, meditation, healing, and daily life.
Participants will be guided to design and create their own bead strings, discovering how this intentional object can anchor breath awareness and compassionate attention between trainings and gatherings.
After this immersion, students leave with confidence to integrate beads into everyday routines, supporting steadiness of heart beyond movement alone.
Sacred Wisdom immersion 4: The sacred art of prayer
Open the Heart to Timeless Ways of Praying
what this immersion is about
Exploring prayer literacy through contemplative, embodied, intercessory, and creative forms.
description
Prayer is a word familiar to all, yet many people question how to pray and whether prayer can be improved or enriched. This immersion explores the various ways praying has been practiced across traditions, Hindu, Buddhist, Jewish, Christian, Islamic, Sikh, indigenous and many others, inviting participants to encounter prayer as a living skill that complements asana, mantra, meditation, healing and daily life.
Participants will learn about silent inner praying, spoken prayers, intercessory prayers, and the architectures of petition, gratitude and devotion. The approach emphasizes inner listening and embodied heart-centering, showing how prayer can accompany movement, breath, work, or rest.
After this immersion, students will feel confident and prayer literate, leaving with an expanded spiritual toolkit and new avenues to nourish their yoga, their teaching presence, and their everyday relationships with the Divine between trainings and gatherings.
