A generation

Seventy-two percent of adults worldwide report that spirituality and the search for meaning are important to them. And yet alongside more books, podcasts, and courses than any generation in history has had access to, loneliness persists, anxiety grows, and the searching continues without arriving.
The hunger is not for more content. It is for genuine formation, a living tradition taken seriously, guides who have walked the path, and a community that holds you accountable to becoming the person your faith calls you to be. Research from the Center for Bible Engagement, drawing on a study of 40,000 people, found that consistent and serious engagement with scripture and prayer is the single greatest predictor of spiritual growth, more than any other practice measured.

Divine Indwelling is an interspiritual formation ministry rooted in Christian contemplative wisdom and open to sincere seekers of all paths. We bring together writing, teaching, prayer, and community in service of one purpose: genuine inner transformation.
At the heart of everything we do is a simple and ancient insight, that the world's great faith traditions each contain a deep current of wisdom about the interior life, about transformation, and about what it means to become more fully human and more fully aligned with God. This is what scholars call the perennial wisdom. Not a new religion, but the recognition of what the great traditions have always held in common when practiced seriously and at depth.
We are grounded in the Christian contemplative tradition. We are interspiritual in our reach and our respect for other paths. And we draw from the perennial wisdom that the great traditions share. Our conviction is this: going deep into your own tradition is the surest path toward understanding others, and genuine inner transformation is the only lasting root of peace.

Contemplative Christian
A way of living the Christian faith that emphasizes direct relationship with God through prayer, silence, Scripture, reflection, and inner transformation. The focus is not only on believing Christian teachings, but on personally experiencing and embodying them.
Interspiritual
An approach that remains deeply rooted in one's own spiritual tradition while engaging with the wisdom, practices, and insights of other traditions with respect, openness, and genuine curiosity, trusting that going deeper into your own path opens rather than closes you to others.
Perennial Wisdom
The understanding that the world’s great spiritual traditions often point toward shared human truths such as compassion, love, transformation, service, and the search for ultimate reality, especially when explored deeply.
HOW WE WORK

Everything Divine Indwelling offers flows through three interconnected streams. Each one feeds the others. Together they produce the depth of formation that genuine inner transformation requires.

Contemplative Formation
The development of a person’s inner life through practices such as prayer, meditation, reflection, silence, self-examination, and spiritual discipline. Its purpose is to develop greater awareness, wisdom, emotional maturity, and alignment between one’s values, actions, and spiritual beliefs.

Religious Literacy
Understanding the beliefs, scriptures, practices, histories, and cultural impact of different religions accurately and in context. It includes the capacity to discuss religion with clarity, respect, and informed understanding.
III
Inner Transformation for Peace
The conviction that lasting peace in the world begins with the inner condition of the people who inhabit it. When individuals develop genuine self-awareness, compassion, and spiritual maturity, that depth expresses itself outward — in healthier relationships, more just communities, and a world that reflects the quality of the people within it.
