Teaching on prayer, scripture, liturgical time, and the interior life. Writing that draws from nearly three decades of contemplative practice within the Christian tradition — and invites the reader deeper into their own.
The sanctification of time (Part 1): The Eight Prayer Watches
Time is not neutral. Every hour of the day already stands in the presence of God, and the human heart can be trained, through regular and rhythmic return, to know this. The Eight Prayer Watches offer a simple, biblically-grounded framework for doing exactly that: sanctifying the full twenty-four hours of the day through eight periods of focused prayer, each with its own theme, its own scriptural anchor, and its own invitation.
“God became human so that the human might become God”
Christmas carries spiritual depth. It is layered, complex, and at times contradictory. And perhaps that is why, if we want to truly touch its spiritual mystery, we cannot remain at the surface of its expressions. We have to return to the most essential question: what exactly is it that we are celebrating when we celebrate Christmas?
