Practice
Teaching on prayer, scripture, liturgical time, and the interior life. Writing that draws from nearly three decades of contemplative practice within the Christian tradition — and invites the reader deeper into their own.
The sanctification of time (Part 1): The Eight Prayer Watches
The Eight Prayer Watches invites us to rediscover time as sacred. Across the twenty-four hours of the day, each watch becomes an opportunity to orient the heart toward God through reflection, consecration, intercession, faithful action, contemplation, and surrender.
Drawing on Scripture and the rhythms of prayer found throughout the Bible, the article presents a contemplative framework where every part of the day carries its own spiritual invitation.
“God became human so that the human might become God”
Christmas carries spiritual depth. It is layered, complex, and at times contradictory. And perhaps that is why, if we want to truly touch its spiritual mystery, we cannot remain at the surface of its expressions. We have to return to the most essential question: what exactly is it that we are celebrating when we celebrate Christmas?
